Gellar isn’t completely off the set, though. She lends her behind-the-scenes knowledge and gives playful but important “unofficial” continuity advice to her friend and the reboot’s director, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Gellar explains, “I have an unofficial job title…I’m always the one who tells her, ‘Well, that would happen, or that wouldn’t happen with those characters.'” So while Helen won’t be resurrected, Gellar’s will Spirit is certainly present in the project, just in a very different way.
